Quick Tip: How to Level Your Boat Trailer

Getting your boat trailer leveled for optimal towing.

How-To

Often, boat trailers and tow vehicles are not made to go together. The hitch receiver height in tow vehicles can vary by several inches even in stock rigs, and hitches are available in all manner of drops and rises. The ideal running height for trailer tongues varies as well, so there’s really no way of knowing how things are going to match up until you go to hook up.

Luckily, getting your trailer to sit at the right attitude when hitched to your truck is not at all difficult. In this Mercury Quick Tip, we’ll show how to tell if your trailer is riding the right way, and what to do about it if it’s not.
