Zodiac Nautic and Mercury Marine strengthen relationship with focus on future growth

Mercury Marine, the world’s leading manufacturer of recreational marine engines, today welcomed executives from Zodiac Nautic to its world headquarters here for a day of meetings, plant tours and discussions about an enhanced global relationship with the world’s oldest and most recognized manufacturer of inflatable boats.

Dominique Heber-Suffrin, CEO - Zodiac Nautic, and Gary Durnan, President - Zodiac Nautic Americas, spent the day with Mercury president John Pfeifer and other Mercury executives mapping out growth plans between the two companies.

“Mercury Marine has a rich history and unmatchable global brand recognition in the marine industry,” said Heber-Suffrin. “When you pair the most recognized manufacturer of inflatable boats in the world with the most well-known marine propulsion manufacturer in the world, you have a recipe for long-term success. The opportunity to grow our footprint in the United States as well as Australia and Europe with Mercury is very exciting.  I see great things for both companies in the future as we continue to grow together.”

“Zodiac Nautic has brand recognition around the world and we are excited to broaden our global partnership with them,” said John Pfeifer, Mercury Marine president.  “For them to come visit with us just days before the Miami International Boat Show demonstrates their commitment to growing our relationship, and we are thrilled to enhance our partnership with Zodiac Nautic.”

Zodiac and Mercury have partnered this season at major boat shows in Paris and Dusseldorf, and will have a RecPro 650 powered by a 150hp Mercury outboard with Active Trim on the water throughout the Miami International Boat Show.

“The relationship with Mercury continues to evolve, but we are very excited at the opportunities ahead of us,” said Durnan. “Their global headquarters is so impressive and to see the engines coming off the line, knowing that many of them will power some of our boats, gets us really excited about the future.”
